Hampden 2010 LROK 70cl 47°

Distillery : Hampden Estate / Country : Jamaica / Reference: : 24446

This vintage rum from the Jamaican Hampden distillery is an Owen Kelly Light Rum, which means that it has a light concentration of esters.

It aged for 11 years in barrels, benefiting from the tropical climate of the island, while it would have taken 44 years of ageing on European soil to achieve this result. This release contains one of the oldest rums aged entirely at the distillery.

After an artisanal distillation in double twisted copper stills, it is bottled at 47° without colouring.

It is therefore a rum that is both light but also very generous on the fruit, with a nice balance between the characteristic notes of the House of Hampden: roasted pineapple, exotic fruits and vanilla.

Hampden rums are distinguished by an ancestral manufacturing process and maturation under the Jamaican sun, developing an extraordinary aromatic richness.

Nose: greedy and fruity on sweet notes of dried banana, harlequin candy and cane syrup.

Palate: refreshing, imprint of camphor, menthol, completed by notes rich in exotic fruits and vanilla.

Finish: long and smooth, with pastry flavours of rum cake, liquorice and orange zest.
