Dalva Porto Young Ruby 75cl 19°

Country : Portugal / Reference: : 26028

Dalva Ruby Young Port is a young, vibrant port characterized by its intense ruby color and fruity aromas.

Produced from traditional Portuguese grape varieties, it is aged in vats for a short period, retaining its fresh, fruity character. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of red fruit, such as cherry, strawberry and raspberry, with hints of blackberry. On the palate, it is generous and round, with soft tannins and ripe red fruit flavors, accompanied by a light spicy touch on the finish.

Enjoy this port on its own or with chocolate desserts, blue-veined cheeses or lightly spiced dishes. Slightly chilled, it is also an excellent choice for an aperitif. To fully appreciate its aromas, we recommend serving it between 12 and 16°C in a suitable glass.

Ports are mutated Portuguese wines obtained by adding distilled grape alcohol, which stops fermentation and “fortifies” the wine.
Dalva Port, from Da Silva, is a prestigious brand from Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, an emblematic region for the ageing of port wines.
Founded in 1862, Dalva is renowned for its elegant, well-balanced port wines, focusing particularly on high-quality Tawny, White and vintage (Colheitas and Vintage) wines. Dalva's Tawny wines are barrel-aged and develop aromas of dried fruit, caramel and vanilla, while their White wines are often fruitier and more floral, with 10, 20, 30 and even 40-year versions available for lovers of rarity.
Colheitas, made from grapes from a single harvest, are aged in casks to offer complex, refined notes that evolve over the years. Dalva has also innovated with “Golden White” ports and other special editions that surprise with their originality.

They are aged in Vila Nova de Gaia (Douro Valley) in cellars where the mild, humid Atlantic climate helps develop subtle, rich flavors. The Douro Valley, in northern Portugal, is a historic, mountainous wine-growing region, famous for its terraced vineyards that produce port and other renowned wines.

Nose: Red fruit (cherry, strawberry, raspberry), hint of blackberry.

Palate: Round, fruity, soft tannins, slight spiciness on the finish.
