Canterbury, quality manufacturing since 1904
Canterbury is a company founded in 1904 by 3 Englishmen: John Lane, Pringle Walker and Alfred Rudkin. At the beginning, the company made woolen clothes in the city of Canterbury in New Zealand. At the time of its launch, the highly technical and resistant products were very popular in the kiwi country, so much so that the New Zealand and Australian armies appealed to the company to produce their military equipment during the First World War. The founders naturally adopted the strong symbol of New Zealand: the kiwi (bird) to make their logo.
Canterbury has become a true national institution synonymous with quality, reliability and durability and that is why the brand has become the official supplier of the All Blacks for many decades. Today the brand is the official equipment supplier of the team of Ireland!
Canterbury, rugby values
Canterbury shares the values of rugby: the love and passion of this sport for a very wide audience (man, woman and child). It is in this perspective that the company creates ranges of products for the community gathered around the same passion.
For more than a century, Canterbury has been producing quality products. At each stage of manufacturing, the company sets itself the challenge of finding innovations to improve the performance and comfort of their ranges. Leader in the field of innovation: rugby collar, rubber button and technical underlayment, Canterbury still continues to innovate.
Canterbury: The lifestyle collection
"Lifestyle" products are made of thick, comfortable cotton with reinforced stitching and rubber buttons. They are true winks to the past of the brand. Trendy and modern, each piece is made with pretty details.
