Lot 40 Rye Whisky 70cl 43°

Lot 40 is one of the few 100% rye North American whiskies. Made at the Hiram Walker & Sons distillery (Ontario, Canada) from locally grown rye, it is first distilled in a column still and then in a pot still to reveal all the spicy quintessence of rye. It is then aged in new American oak barrels which give it sweet and deep notes of vanilla and caramel.

Master blender Mike Booth wanted, through this rye whiskey, to pay tribute to the very first whiskey distillers in North America who were particularly fond of this cereal.
