Spellbinding, this whisky engulfs you into an endless whirlpool of thundering waters... With this Single Malt, Ardbeg refers to "Coirebhreacain", meaning "cauldron of the speckled seas". Corryvreckan is the third world biggest sea whirlpool, located between Jura and Scarba Islands, north of Islay, where only the brave venture.

An old legend holds that a young viking named Breacan, had to survive 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the whirlpool as a proof of his love to the daughter of the Lord of the Isles.

Just like the whirlpool, Ardbeg Corryvreckan is a powerful, strong whisky that partially aged in first fill French oak casks. The spirit develops into deep, swirling peaty flavours with a dash of peppery notes and an amazing balance.
