Scapa 10 Years 70cl 48°
Reference: 26074
Scapa 10 Year Old is marked by subtle notes of fresh tropical fruit, perfectly reflecting the character of Scapa single malts.
The Scapa distillery is located on the main island of the Orkney archipelago on the north coast of Scotland. It is one of Scotland's most northerly distilleries.
Scapa 10 Year Old is marked by subtle notes of fresh tropical fruit, perfectly reflecting the character of Scapa single malts. It is aged in ancient American oak casks stored in Orkney.
Fermentation time is one of the longest in Scotch whisky: 160 hours, or almost 7 days. This gives the single malt a fruity character that is unique for an island malt.
Unlike other island distilleries, no peat is used to dry the malt, allowing Scapa's sweet, tropical flavors to shine through.
Scapa whiskies are distilled using a single pair of stills - one of which is a Lomond still. Installed in 1959, it is one of the last stills in use.
