Black Socks for Kilts
These black socks are an essential accessory to wear with a kilt and even the whole scottish traditional costume. They are to be worn up to the knee.
Traditionally, in the right sock, the scottish carried a little dagger (the sgian dubh). If the handle was seen a little bit on top of the sock, it meant no attack. If the handle was hidden in the sock, it signified the presence of an enemy.
