Ardmore 12 Years Old 2010 INK4 S.V. 70 cl 46°
This edition of the Ardmore 12 years old is part of our INK #4 series selected by our experts and Signatory Vintage exclusively at Le Comptoir Irlandais.
Ardmore means “promontory”: the Speyside distillery overlooks the valley and borders the railway line. Since its creation by Adam Teacher in 1898, it has been characterized by the use of peat and its slightly peated style.
Whiskies generally experience ageing in Bourbon barrels and Quarter Casks. Most of the distillery's malts are reserved for blends, particularly the Teacher's Blend. A few versions can be found at independent bottlers Signatory Vintage and Gordon & MacPhail.
Distilled in 2010, this peated whisky was aged in Bourbon casks and finished in 2nd fill Sherry butts. Reduced at 46°, non chill-filtered, natural colour.
