Braes Of Glenlivet 30 ans 70cl 48.8°

Distillery : Braes of Glenlivet / Country : Scotland / Reference: : 25915

From a little-known distillery nestled in the remote hills of Speyside, Braes of Glenlivet 30 Years Old showcases the elegance of a patiently matured single malt. Distilled in a location once snowbound during winter, this whisky reflects both isolation and purity.

Matured in oak casks for three decades, it offers a silky texture and a beautifully layered profile. The water source, drawn from the Preenie well deep beneath the hills, brings clarity and softness to the spirit.

Bottled at 48.8% and non-chill filtered, this whisky is graceful, fruity, and remarkably well-balanced. A rare gem for collectors and those who appreciate gentle, complex Speyside malts.

The Braes of Glenlivet distillery was founded in 1973 and renamed Braeval in 1995. It is one of the newest and most modern in Speyside.

Originally, it was intended to produce only malt for the manufacture of blends of the Chivas group. Originally fitted with three stills with a ball at the base of their neck (Milton Ball), two were added in 1975, then a last one in 1978.

The whiskey is exclusively intended for the production of Blends, especially those owned by Pernod-Ricard / Chivas, but the production of the distillery is highly regarded by other blenders as well.

Nose: Tropical fruits, honey, vanilla, soft almond, white flowers, and polished oak.
Palate: Silky and elegant, with pear, pineapple, custard, gentle spices, and a hint of dried fruit.
Finish: Long and refined, with ripe stone fruits, hazelnut, fine oak, and a touch of citrus zest.
