Confidentiel but appreciated by amateurs, the Benrinnes distillery is located in Aberlour in the Banffshire in Scotland where it was created in 1826. Its history was tumultuous with a succession of reconstructions and changes of owners.

Benrinnes is one of the few Scottish distilleries to perform a partial triple distillation. Its whiskies are very unctuous and marked by hints of honey and spices.

This Benrinnes was distilled in 1996 and enjoyed a maturation in Hogshead barrel for 22 years before bottling in 2019. Despite its age, this limited edition Single Cask #11699 keeps its vivacity. It has a beautiful patina and has lost none of his passion.

The whisky is rather oily, intense, malty and fruity... Our experts particularly appreciated during the selection the development of a slight acidulous note.
