Caperdonich Peated 25 Years Old 70cl 45.5°
The Caperdonich distillery, which used to be on the banks of the River Spey, no longer exists today. Opened in 1898 and then dismantled brick by brick in 2011, this Single Malt is what remains of the whisky from the "secret well", a place where people gathered discreetly.
This whisky has a slightly peaty character, with a smoky scent that adds extra intensity to the flavours.

Located in the town of Rothes, in the Speyside region, the Scottish Caperdonich distillery has remained secret throughout its existence, creating peaty or not expressions in Small Batch and some of which were used to compose Blends of Chivas Regal.
Founded in 1898 by the founders of Glen Grant, the distillery that lined the banks of Spey no longer exists. With a first closure 5 years after its launch, it reopened in 1965 with 2 new stills and a greater production capacity, which allowed it to make its place on the market. It closed definitively in 2002, before being dismantled brick by brick in 2011.
Today, we can find what remains of this legendary distillery through the Peated and Unpeated Caperdonich ranges of the Secret Speyside collection, which highlights the rarest expressions of the region.
