The teapot, the essential for Tea Time

In porcelain, glass or stainless steel, our selection of quality teapots is made to last over time and accompany you in your moments of sharing!

The teapot is the container used to infuse tea leaves. It is also used to allow the tea to cool down a little before people serve themselves. It is an indispensable object during the tea tasting ritual.

The teapot is mainly used for brewing loose tea, although it is also possible to infuse tea in bags in this container.

Loose tea allows the tea leaves to develop better in hot water, providing a more flavourful and antioxidant-rich experience than a traditional tea bag.

All kinds of teas and herbal teas are suitable for brewing in a teapot, so you can choose your favourite flavour.

Some preparations tips

Firstly, to make your perfect tea, heat your water to a maximum temperature of 90° in a pot or kettle. The water for your tea should never be boiling.

Then, for a cup of tea, put between 2 and 3 g of tea in your teapot for about 20 cl of water and let it steep.

It is important to respect the infusion time indicated on the packaging: 3 to 5 minutes for black teas, 3 to 4 minutes for green teas and 5 to 10 minutes for white teas.

If the tea is not brewed long enough, it will have a bland hot water taste. On the contrary, if it is steeped too long it will lose its flavour and taste bitter or astringent.

Once your tea is brewed, you can serve it in a pretty mug. Among our wide selection, discover the Dunoon mugs with original and colourful designs.

To keep your tea hot for longer and to be able to take it with you wherever you go, think about isothermal bottles.
