The cast iron teapots originate from an ancient Japanese art and have been used for centuries. Cast iron is known for its thermal properties and retain heat much more than many other materials. The teapot may be heated with hot water prior to brewing. After use, rinse with hot water only.

The teapot must not be used on fire, or put in the microwave or dishwasher.
