Jack Daniel’s 10 Year Old marks an important milestone in the history of the renowned Tennessee distillery, introducing an age-stated whiskey for the first time in more than a century. Made according to the brand’s traditional recipe of corn, malted barley and rye, it is mellowed through sugar maple charcoal before spending ten years in new, toasted and heavily charred American oak barrels. During maturation, the barrels are moved between different levels of the warehouses to take advantage of changes in temperature and humidity. This extended ageing develops a deeper character than Old No. 7, with notes of dark fruit, cocoa, caramel and warming oak spice.
