A traditional eau-de-vie par excellence, the Vieille Prune Massenez is the result of a blend of the best selections of plums and a long ageing in barrels.

The plums selected for the Vieille Prune Eau-de-vie are round, fleshy and harvested when fully ripe. They are then fermented without delay in order to preserve their organoleptic qualities. The eau-de-vie obtained from the still is powerful. It is then aged in oak barrels for several years. It is at this period of time that it softens and becomes a fine and subtle eau-de-vie.

Vieille Prune Eau-de-vie was very popular before the Second World War and is now fascinating a growing number of French and foreign enthusiasts.
