The name of the brand comes from the Cutty Sark clipper, it owes its name to a witch in the poem of Robert Burns named "Tam o'Shanter". Since then, a competition involving tall ships has been created in his honor.

Nose: Sweet vanilla, melted caramel, citrus zest, woody spices, and a hint of black pepper.
Palate: Round and bold, with honey, toffee, a touch of nutmeg, and toasted oak.
Finish: Long and spicy, lingering on vanilla and charred wood.
