Ichiro's Malt Double Distilleries 70cl 46.5°
Ichiro's Malt Double Distillery is, as its name suggests, born from the union of two Japanese distilleries: Hanyu and Chichibu.
The result is a Pure Blended Malt, with an aromatic profile that shows both softness and firmness. Its sweetness comes from its aging in Japanese oak barrels from the house of Chichibu. While its firm appearance and fruity flavors come from its barrel aging in Sherry and Hogshead from the Hanyu distillery.
A unique marriage, for spicy, fruity and herbaceous notes.

Chichibu distillery, located in Saitama prefecture, north of Tokyo, is owned by Venture Whisky, a Japanese whisky producer under the Ichiro’s Malt brand.
In 2007, Ichiro Akuto, the grandson of the founder of the Hanyu distillery, started a new chapter in Japan's whisky history by building Chichibu distillery.
Situated about 70km north-west of Tokyo, production began in February 2008.
The equipment includes a small mill, a mash tun, washbacks made of Jpanese oak (mizunara) and a pair of small copper stills manufactured by Forsyths of Rothes, Scotland.
Several different casks types are used, including Bourbon barrels, Sherry butts and Hogsheads, all matured in a traditional Dunnage style warehouse.
Enhanced by their environment, Chichibu whiskies are non-chill filtered and not coloured.
