Following the success of the first edition in 2020, Fettercairn is renewing the experience with this 16 year old 2021 edition full of nuances that invites you on a real sensory journey. Each edition of the Single Malt Fettercairn 16 years presents a different ageing and reflects the singularity of the distillation process used by the distillery with its stills equipped with a cooling system which is unique in the world.
This 2021 edition has aged in a combination of first-fill, refill Oloroso Sherry casks and first-fill Palo Cortado Sherry butts, which brings complex nuances to the distillery's unique style.
For Stewart Walker, the distillery manager: "This new 16 year old perfectly matches the classic style of Fettercairn while having its own identity. By selecting casks of very old sherry, we can complement the distillery's own tropical notes with a new aromatic palette, thus building a unique taste experience."
