Salted Caramel Pretzel Brownies
This salted caramel brownie will delight the biggest chocolate lovers. This recipe is the perfect combination of rich 70% dark chocolate and salted caramel. The pretzels add crunch to the preparation.
Ingredients:
- 110 g of Lily O'Brien's 70% dark Belgian chocolate
- 240 g of Lily O'Brien's caramel chocolate
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder Coop
- 250 g of unsalted butter
- 25 g of cocoa powder
- 250 g of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 3 eggs + 1 egg yolk
- 150 g of white flour
- 120 g of powdered milk or 12 cl of milk
- 1 pinch of salt
- 100 g of salted pretzels
- Optional: salted butter caramel sauce to serve
Steps:
1/ Preheat the oven to 160°. Grease a cake pan.
2/ In a first bowl, pour the butter, cocoa, 70% dark chocolate and half of the caramel chocolate. Melt them in a double boiler and stir until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous paste. Let cool.
3/ In another bowl, combine the sugar, eggs, egg yolk and vanilla extract. Stir in the flour, powdered or liquid milk, salt and baking powder, then melted chocolate.
4/ Add the remaining caramel chocolate chips to the preparation.
5/ Pour the dough into your mold and place the pretzels on it. Bake for about 45 minutes and let cool. Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
6/ Add if you wish, a drizzle of salted butter caramel!
