London Tradition receives the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise

01/23/2015

London Tradition, our duffle-coat maker, has won the prestigious "Queen's Award for Enterprise for International Trade". This prize is awarded according to the opinion of the British Prime Minister and a committee made up of representatives from government, industry and commerce to companies which make a significant contribution to the UK economy.

The Queen's Award Office imposes very strict criteria such as the results of the progression of export sales for a period of three consecutive years. This prize awarded to London Tradition recognizes its contribution to exports through its remarkable development in recent years. Indeed, export sales represent 90% of the company's turnover.

The Queen’s Award is the greatest award an Anglo-Saxon company can receive,” said Dr. Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Commerce, Innovation and Skills.

This award recognizes the excellence of London Tradition which has seen its growth develop exponentially by transforming outerwear into luxury products based on a heritage of unique know-how to progress in the international market.

Rob Huson, co-founder and director of the company, gave his thoughts after receiving the award: "This is a significant achievement for London Tradition and its entire team. We are proud to be part of the shining British heritage in the textile industry. Affixing the Royal Award emblem to our coats will allow us to attract new customers and strengthen our position as a leading brand with British heritage."
