Rugby: le Comptoir Irlandais alongside the Bleus for the World Cup 2023

02/08/2023

In 7 months to the day, the kick-off will be given for a highly anticipated event in the world of the oval ball: the World Cup! France has been chosen to host the 10th edition of this competition which will get off to a flying start with a France – New Zealand match on 8 September. The Stade de France as well as 9 other French stadiums will be the scene of these clashes between the 20 participating teams which promise fervour and adrenaline!

After their Grand Slam during the 2022 edition of the 6 Nations Championship (that's all we wish them for 2023!), our Bleus are back to full strength and ready to do battle with the other international players, and especially the All Blacks who robbed them of victory on several occasions… Will the XV of France finally lift the Webb Ellis Cup against their fierce opponents from around the world? Or will it once again be won by Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or England, the only winners in history? Answer on October 28 during the grand final at the Stade de France!

For the record, the first edition of this international competition which takes place every four years took place in 1987, when the Comptoir Irlandais was founded... A fine anniversary for this large-scale event and for our brand which has always put rugby in the spotlight in its windows, with the 100% French Camberabero polo shirts as well as the collection of the English brand Canterbury. We have also worked in close collaboration with these two brands to offer you very soon a superb collection designed especially for the Rugby World Cup… See you in spring!

Follow the fervor of the matches with us with our rugby selections!
