In 2019, Ardbeg Day, a must-attend event for whiskey lovers, will take place on 1st June. Since 2004, the Scottish distillery Ardbeg unveils each year, on the occasion of its global event born from the festival Fèis Ile on the island of Islay, a new limited edition.
Ardbeg Drum, the 2019 limited edition
Each year, Ardbeg unveils a new experimental edition on the occasion of its Ardbeg Day. We were able to discover Ardbeg Grooves in 2018 or Kelpie in 2017.
In 2019, the famous Islay distillery surprises us again with a limited edition that pays tribute to the legendary atmosphere of carnival in the Caribbean: Ardbeg Drum.
This Single Malt is from a selection of Ardbeg from old Bourbon casks, then aged in rum casks from the Americas.
It pays tribute to Hamish Scott who, after being director of a rum, became the manager of the Ardbeg distillery between 1964 and 1967.
Ardbeg Drum thus draws on Caribbean traditions to offer a whisky with a peaty and exotic aromatic palette with notes of pineapple.
