The Yamazaki Edition 2022 “Spanish Oak” – 70cl is an exceptional single malt, produced from a rigorous selection of Spanish oak casks from northern Spain, chosen for their ability to reveal the full richness and complexity of the whisky.
This edition is part of the Tsukuriwake collection, a tribute to the origins of Japanese whisky, comprising four Yamazaki single malts selected to embody the character of the iconic Yamazaki. The “Tsukuriwake” concept illustrates the philosophy of the House of Suntory: to put the richness and diversity of expertise at the service of craftsmanship, reflecting the excellence and innovation that characterize Japanese whisky.
Suntory Yamazaki Distillery became the first whisky malt distillery in Japan in 1923. The location of the distillery has the perfect climate, with spring water and 4 distinct seasons. Suntory wanted to create a whisky for the japanese palate and also a whisky recognised by world wide whisky amateurs.
