200,000 years ago, the eruption of the "Tequila Volcano" in the Jalisco region of Mexico gave rise to soil rich in iron and basalt, ideal for the growth of blue agave.
This "Volcan de mi tierra" tequila has been made from agave grown in the Valles and Altos regions. It creates a perfect balance between the citrus and spice flavours typical of the lowlands, and those more fruity, with cherry and pear from the highlands.

The origins of Volcan de mi tierra date back more than 200,000 years, when the Tequila volcano erupted and nourished the soil in the Jalisco region of Mexico.
Volcan de mi tierra, which translates to "volcano land", honours the notions of origin and heritage, and represents 300 years of passion and know-how. Volcan de mi tierra tequilas are made from an exceptional blue agave that grows on the fertile land of this volcanic region. During the manufacturing process, tradition and advanced technologies, taste and nature, know-how and flavours are combined.
Volcan de mi tierra is committed to reducing its environmental impact and promoting local employment. The brand reuses most of the resources and materials needed to make its tequila. Soil evaluation and preparation ensures the use of a reduced amount of pesticides and chemical agents. Distillation residues are treated to purify distillery water and are used as fertilizer in crops, while leftover packaging is recycled in local factories.
