Dominique Ansel's Glenmorangie whisky cocktails
Inspired by Glenmorangie whiskies, chef Dominique Ansel has developed a series of gourmet cakes and cocktails, called "CakeTails", to discover unique flavours and new blends.
Discover below the result of the collaboration between the creator of whiskies, Dr Bill Lumsden, and the French pastry chef Dominique Ansel through 4 cocktails recipes.
Tale of the Fake Old Fashioned
- 50 ml of Glenmorangie A Tale of Cake
- 7.5 ml of coconut water
- 7.5 ml of pineapple syrup
- 1 dash of Peychaud’s bitters
- 1 pinch black pepper
1/ Mix all the ingredients with ice.
2/ Pass into a highball glass with ice cubes or whisky stones.
3/ Decorate with an orange zest.
Tip: Serve this cocktail with a pineapple cake.
Glenmorangie Original Pear Fizz
- 45 ml of Glenmorangie Original
- 25 ml of pear juice
- 10 ml of lemon juice
- 15 ml of vanilla syrup
- 1 dash of orange bitters
1/ Shake all the ingredients except the champagne with ice.
2/ Filter everything finely in a chilled glass.
3/ Add a little (25 ml max) of champagne
4/ Garnish with a sprig of thyme.
Tip: Serve this cocktail with a plate of delicious poached pears.
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban Choco-Vino
- 40 ml of Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 14 Years Old
- 15 ml of port wine
- 10 ml of Campari
- 5 ml of dark cocoa cream
1/ Incorporate all the ingredients with ice.
2/ Filter in a whisky glass over whisky stones or ice cubes.
3/ Decorate with a touch of orange zest.
Tip: Serve this cocktail with a chocolate praline brownie.
Glenmorangie Lasanta Frosted Flip
- 45 ml of Glenmorangie Lasanta
- 15 ml of caramel syrup
- 25 ml of double cream
- 2 dashes of Fee Brothers Aztec chocolate bitters
- 1 dash of Angostura bitters
- 1 whole egg
1/ Shake all the ingredients with ice.
2/ Finely filter in a glass cooled on ice cubes.
3/ Garnish with cinnamon powder and chocolate shavings.
Tip: Serve this cocktail with a whiskey, cinnamon and ice cream affogato.
