The Epicurean 70cl 46.2°

Distillery : Dailuaine / Country : Scotland / Reference: : 22973

Developed by Douglas Laing as part of its Remarkable Regional Malts collection, The Epicurean is a great discovery. It highlights the Lowlands region in Scotland.

This whisky is the result of a successful blend of the best Single Malts produced in the Lowlands region. The Epicurean thus develops a rich and cereal character. The bottle is recognisable by its label with the image of a 1930's gentleman, famous for the sumptuous parties he used to organise in Glasgow.

From our long-held stocks, we hand select the finest, and often rarest, Scotch Whisky casks from across all of Scotland’s Whisky regions and bottle them as the distiller intended; at high alcohol strength, and without colouring or chill-filtration. By adding nothing and taking nothing away, we offer the consumer an experience close to sampling Whisky straight from the cask in the depths of a cold, dank distillery warehouse.

Colour: pale gold.

Nose: rich with a very malty first approach that blends quickly with the aroma of lemon, floral and herbaceous notes.

Palate: it is fresh and greedy. There are notes of lemon and a development on barley sugar and peach.

Finish: it is long and grassy. We appreciate the finish on the aromas of almonds and brown sugar.
