Dictador 12 Years Old 70cl 40°
Aged in a solera system, Dictador rum harks you back to the world of Sherry. The solera system consists in regularly assembling spirits of various ages so that the older ones "nurture" the younger ones, through a process that may take several years.
On the palate, this rum reveals a freshness and a renewed liveliness not quite disclosed on the first inhalations. Thanks to the skills of its cuban maker, the Dictabor style is not too syrupy and shows remarkable elegance and richness.

In order to develop trading activities, Severo Arango y Ferro lands in 1751 in Cartagena de Indias, a harbour city of Colombia. As a powerful man, he is quickly dubbed “the Dictador”.
In 1913, Don Angel Nùnèz settled his business there and established his distillery, Destilleria Colombiana. During 40 years, he produces and locally distributes wines and spirits. The family takes over after his death. On the eve of the 21th century, the distillery is merged into a bigger group expanding its influence on the entire Caribbean region with new markets for the rum.
