The Balmenach distillery is based in Speyside. Founded in 1824, it has a rich history and specializes in traditional Scotch whiskies. Although not as famous as other Speyside distilleries, Balmenach is part of Inver House Distillers, owners of other renowned distilleries such as Old Pulteney and Speyburn.
