Glenmorangie Bacalta Limited Edition 2017 70cl 46°

Eighth version of the Private Edition collection of Glenmorangie distillery, this Single Malt is remarkable, generous and complex. It's a limited edition 46°, non chill-filtered, that has haved a unique maturing process.

This whisky has a scottish gaelic name "oven baked" thanks to the original aging process. It has been made with Glenmorangie that have aged in old Bourbon casks, then transfered into barrels that have contained Malmsey, one of the softest Maderian wines.

Malmsey casks have been created with american barrels, air dried, then roasted. They've been filled with Malmsey wine and heated up by the sun for two years with the supervision of Master Blender Dr Bill Lumsden from Glenmorangie Distillery.

The barrels have been then emptied, and transported by train to Scotland by the Highlands, then filled with Glenmorangie whisky.

Glenmorangie Bacalta is part of the most exeptional whiskies with a wide aromatical range, soft, generous and complex with sugary notes such as honey and fruits.
