A winter Sunday at home

01/12/2024

Sunday morning, 11 a.m.: you're stretching out in bed after a well-deserved lie-in, or (for the brave) you've just come back from a morning jog and all you want to do is take your time (for once) to enjoy a delicious, healthy brunch.

If you're in the mood for something a little more exotic, try an Anglo-Saxon brunch or a Scottish-style brunch, both of which will transport you to the other side of the Channel. With their scones, pancakes, bacon and beans, both are sure to fill your stomach right through to dinner!

For those who prefer something lighter and healthier, you can turn to oat flakes, in porridge or muesli with fresh fruit, or mixed with yoghurt and honey, for example. Accompany them with a cup of coffee or organic tea of your choice from the many flavours offered by Hampstead Tea. And for a savoury touch, why not make yourself a nice salad, or scrambled or boiled eggs?

Brunch

Sunday, mid-afternoon: Now you've got a full belly. You've got two options: head outside for a wintry stroll, or stay cosy at home.

If you opt for the former, make sure you're well wrapped up: that's where our wool collection comes in! Aran sweaters, hats, scarves, socks - we've got everything you need to cope with the cold, whether you're heading out for a stroll by the sea, into the countryside or even just around the block.

If you choose the cocooning option, it's time to take the time to indulge in your favourite activity: reading, playing a board game, sewing, crafting, cooking (we've got lots of recipes here!)...

Sunday afternoon

Sunday, late afternoon: It's time to relax on your sofa, by your fireplace if you're lucky enough to have one, or even in front of a good film. For the best cocooning moments, here are the essentials: a plaid and woollen slippers, a cup of your favourite hot drink (chocolate, tea, coffee?) served in your preferred mug and a sweet treat to choose from among our biscuits and confectionery.

So, are you ready for the best of cocooning Sundays at home?
