Founded in 1825 by John MacDonald at the foot of the eponymous mountain – the highest in Great Britain, the Ben Nevis distillery is one of the few bicentenary distilleries in Scotland.

Ben Nevis was one of the first to produce grain and malt whiskies.
Acquired in 1989 by the Japanese company Nikka, the distillery has gradually made a place for itself in the world of whisky thanks to its surprising malts, much appreciated by connoisseurs, and its blends rich in aromas. Its very particular mountainous environment, its water which takes its source at the top of this mountain which has become legendary, make Ben Nevis an exceptional distillery.
