When Daniel Szor, a native of New York, decides to radically change his life, he leaves the world of finance to combine his passion for whisky and his desire for business in the heart of the Cotswolds in England.

After working for many years in finance, Daniel Szor decides to leave this field and his hometown, New York, to change his life and settle with his family in the heart of the English countryside, in the Cotswolds.

It is in this picturesque natural setting of great beauty with its golden barley fields around his house that Dan realizes that he can link his great passion for whisky and his desire for a new entrepreneurial adventure: "I suddenly thought, there's barley all over the Cotswolds and no one is distilling it, let's be the first!"

He then found an ideal unoccupied site not far from his home, surrounded himself with a team of enthusiasts and undertook the construction of a distillery which was to open in 2014. 3 years later, the first whisky ever distilled in the Cotswolds is produced: the Cotswolds Signature Single Malt Whisky. Over the years, the range is expanding with gins and liqueurs and now includes award-winning spirits.
