Bayou Rum Select is a rum from Louisiana in the United States. This state, originally created by France, is located in a subtropical climate and has been growing sugar cane since 1751.
This rum has a beautiful amber colour. On the nose, it expresses subtle aromas of caramel and oak. The palate is complex and elegant. The finish reveals eucalyptus notes.

Bayou Rum was made by Jeff Murphy and Reiniel Vicente in the bigger distillery in the USA. It's Louisiana Spirits, located in Lacassine, in Louisiana. It produces four varieties of rum with the Bayou's label : Bayou Select Rum, Bayou Satsuma Rum, Bayou Silver Rum, et Bayou Spiced Rum.
Louisiana Spirits uses both traditional methods and moderns technologies for the four steps : fermentation, distillation, maturation and bottling.
