Boukman Botanical 70cl 45°
Produced using the island’s artisanal methods, this infused botanical rum pays homage to Dutty Boukman, the man who sparked the Haitian revolution and the slave revolt. Boukman means "chief of cane cutters" in Creole.
Boukman Botanical infused rum is made from tempered clairin, traditional agricultural rum made from fresh cane juice with infused ingredients. Each of the ingredients is infused separately in the clairin, cold, for a few days to a few months depending on the ingredients to get the maximum flavour. The aromatic infusions are then assembled and filtered, then diluted with water and bottled at 45 °.
It includes local wood bark, citrus fruits such as bitter orange from Haiti, spices (cloves, allspices, cinnamon) as well as aromatic extracts of vanilla and bitter almond made in France.
The whole gives a spirit with an intense, dry and complex taste.

Created in 2014, Boukman rum is the first botanical rum from the Haitian tradition. It pays homage to Dutty Boukman, slave at the origin of the Haitian rebellion.
Boukman rum was born from the passion of Irishman Adrian Keogh, with a passion for Haiti and for the little-known quality of its cane spirits when the island has more than 500 small distilleries.
In partnership with the Haiti Futur association, which works for education and entrepreneurship in Haiti, he created Boukman rum in 2014, the first botanical rum from the Haitian tradition.
Produced using the island’s artisanal methods, it pays homage to Dutty Boukman, the man who sparked the Haitian revolution and the slave revolt. The oath of freedom he took was sealed with rum.
