Yushan Signature is the new name of the Omar brand but still belongs to the Nantou distillery. Yushan has an evocative name because it is the highest mountain in Taiwan.

This Yushan Signature Sherry Cask is fruity and not lacking in character. It reveals all the know-how of the famous Taiwan distillery Nantou.

It was distilled in pot still made of Belgian and Scottish copper (forsyths) and then aged in sherry casks.

This whisky is neither coloured nor chill-filtered.

It goes well with pork ribs, spices and honey.

Founded in 1978, the Nantou distillery is located in the mountains at 3,000 meters ofaltitude.


The water is drawn from the surrounding lakes and rivers. The subtropical climate is humid and warm and the winters dry, which offers an average temperature of nearly 20 °C allowing a faster ripening of the whiskey.

Products from Nantou Distillery

Nose: straightforward and complex. Notes of stewed fruits, dried fruits and dark chocolate.

Palate: intense and gourmet with aromas of brioche, caramel and smoke.

Finish: long with hints of bitter orange and dried fruit.
