The history of independent Spanish sherry company Bodegas Williams & Humbert dates back almost 130 years. After having acquired its reputation among the world's most prestigious wine producers, the company turned to new experiences.

For this Dos Maderas PX 5+5, the company acquired rums aged for five years in Caribbean lands to age them for another three years in Spain at Bodegas Williams & Humbert in the woods of Dos Cortados (Palo Cortado) operating according to a 20-year Solera system guaranteed by the oldest Designation of Origin in Spain: Jerez-Xérès-Sherry. “Dos Maderas 5+3” finally received a third phase of finishing in Don Guido sherry wine barrels (Pedro Ximénez) also presented according to a 20-year-old Solera system.

This very long maturation ultimately allows us to obtain the extraordinary Dos Maderas P.X.

Bodegas Williams & Humbert therefore used sherry barrels usually used for aging and finishing other spirits such as whiskeys.

It is a real success because this expression is so rich and complex where the powerful and fruity notes (pear, prune, banana) rub shoulders with the spicy aromas of vanilla, cloves and cinnamon. A unique experience in the world which is starting to get a lot of attention in the spiritual world.
