Ring of Kerry Crafts offers handmade products from Ireland, made by a passionate of Celtic and Irish culture.

Kate, a self-taught Irish artisan and designer, has created her Ring of Kerry Crafts brand of handmade textile products.

Originally from Killorglin, County Kerry, Ireland, she draws inspiration from traditional Celtic culture and Irish history for her creations.

She enjoys working with natural materials such as woven wool and tweed.

For her creations, Kate learned knitting with her grandmother and uses only untreated wool, which gives each of her pieces a unique character.

100% natural skin.

Care of sheepskin

  • Brush sheep skin fibres regularly.
  • To maintain the appearance and cleanliness of your sheepskin, do not use a rotating head but rather a standard nozzle accessory.
  • Shake your sheepskin from time to time to keep it clean.

Storage of sheepskin

  • Do not store sheepskin in a bag or box.
  • Do not wrap your sheepskin in non-sbreathable material so that it does not dry out and condense.
  • Be sure to store sheepskin in a cool, well-ventilated area.
  • Do not put your sheepskin in direct sunlight or heat.

Cleaning of sheepskin

  • Dry cleaning recommended. For large tasks, we suggest you take your carpet to a professional leather and skin cleaner

Please follow these steps for hand washing:

  • Use 5ml of natural laundry for gentle washing, without rinsing (e.g. Eucalan) for 4L of water.
  • Add water with a maximum temperature of 38°C.
  • Soak the skin for 30 minutes.
  • Press gently so that water and soap pass through all fibres.
  • Remove the carpet and remove excess water. Do not twist.
  • Dry or lay the mat flat. Do not leave the skin exposed to direct heat or sunlight.
  • Brush the skin one time wet and one time dry.
  • Shake it to make the sheepskin swell.
  • Failure to follow these washing instructions can cause irreversible damage to your carpet.
