Dalva Porto Dry White 75cl 19°

Country : Portugal / Reference: : 26024

Dalva Porto Dry White is a dry white port that embodies Portuguese savoir-faire with a more refreshing, delicate approach to port wine.

Made from traditional white grape varieties from the Douro Valley, it is aged in oak barrels, giving it complexity while preserving its liveliness.

Unlike sweeter ports, Dalva Porto Dry White is designed to bring out fine aromas of dried fruit and citrus, while offering a slightly dry, elegant finish.

It's a port that's particularly enjoyable as an aperitif, either on its own or with tonic, and brings a refined, unexpected touch to any moment of tasting, whether as the opener to a meal or during a refreshing break.

Ports are mutated Portuguese wines obtained by adding distilled grape alcohol, which stops fermentation and “fortifies” the wine.
Dalva Port, from Da Silva, is a prestigious brand from Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, an emblematic region for the ageing of port wines.
Founded in 1862, Dalva is renowned for its elegant, well-balanced port wines, focusing particularly on high-quality Tawny, White and vintage (Colheitas and Vintage) wines. Dalva's Tawny wines are barrel-aged and develop aromas of dried fruit, caramel and vanilla, while their White wines are often fruitier and more floral, with 10, 20, 30 and even 40-year versions available for lovers of rarity.
Colheitas, made from grapes from a single harvest, are aged in casks to offer complex, refined notes that evolve over the years. Dalva has also innovated with “Golden White” ports and other special editions that surprise with their originality.

They are aged in Vila Nova de Gaia (Douro Valley) in cellars where the mild, humid Atlantic climate helps develop subtle, rich flavors. The Douro Valley, in northern Portugal, is a historic, mountainous wine-growing region, famous for its terraced vineyards that produce port and other renowned wines.
