A true emblem of the Massenez brand, Poire Prisonnière has a very attractive power, whether thanks to its taste and olfactory qualities or to its unusual pear-shaped bottle which traps the fruit inside.

How is it possible ? In spring, at the flowering time, the bottle is simply placed on top of a bud that will turn into a fruit growing inside the bottle. When ripe, the fruit and its container are delicately detached and pear eau-de-vie is added, which enables the pear to remain fresh throughout the time it is immersed in its eau-de-vie.

Fine and elegant on the palate, this eau-de-vie is marked by the intense flavour of pear, which brings a lot of freshness. It can be enjoyed fresh or at room temperature depending on how you prefer it.
