Teeling White Wine 2003 Single Cask 70cl 56.7°
Exclusive Edition for Le Comptoir Irlandais and limited to 300 bottles.
This Single Malt 15 years old is a unique and exceptional edition. Distilled in November 2003 and aged in bourbon casks with a finish of 18 months in casks of French Chardonnay.
Single cask and un-chillfiltered, the Teeling White Wine was bottled in May 2018 to its natural degree at 56.7°.
This whiskey has the distinction of having been selected by a team from the Comptoir Irlandais among three casks proposed by the Teeling distillery. Master distiller Alex Chasko and our experts credit this whiskey with tropical fruits, peaches, spices and honey with a woody, spicy and fruity finish.
Just poured into the glass, the aromas on the fruits open very quickly. In the mouth, the power of these 56.7° is absorbed by the magnitude of the flavours that bloom on a superb creaminess.
Pauline, whisky expert from Le Comptoir Irlandais in Rouen, described her experience at the distillery: "We were welcome like kings by Alex Chasko himself, Master Distiller & Blender from Teeling, as well as several representatives. After meeting Alison, Natalie and Rebecca, the three sublime stills handmade in Italy, we were headed to another room.
Stephen Teeling came in person to greet us and see what choice we were going to make.
Then comes a great moment of exchange and tasting, with three whiskeys that Alex has selected for Le Comptoir Irlandais in his cellars. The choice was difficult but we finally managed to agree.
We were particularly impressed by the richness of this incredible Teeling White Wine 2003 Single Cask with exotic fruit notes, generous spices and woody finish. Hoping that our choice will be a great discovery for the greatest number! "

TWC is an independent distillery founded by Jack and Stephen Teeling, John’s son, who established the Cooley distillery in 1987.
The Teeling family has been crafting Irish whiskey since 1782, date on which Walter Teeling founded one of the 38 Dubnlin distilleries in Marrowbone Lane in the area of Liberties. This is also in this area, at the heart of Dublin, this Jack and Stephen Teeling opened their own distillery, more than 200 years after their ancestor.
Unlike other Irish distilleries triple-distilling their whiskey, this new distillery distils only twice (pot still) just like the Cooley distillery. It is the only distillery to produce pot still whiskey in all of Dublin. Moreover, Teeling likes varying the whiskey finishes, imparting a real gourmet edge to the traditional Irish character.
