Bunnahabhain Staoisha 7 Years Old 2014 INK3 S.V. 70cl 59.2°
This edition of Bunnahabhain Staoisha 7 years is part of our INK #3 series selected by our experts exclusively at Le Comptoir Irlandais.
Founded in 1881, the Bunnahabhain Distillery has a unique style stemming from a long heritage. Its philosophy is to offer the most natural whisky possible, produced and aged on the island of Islay. Its inimitable style is explained by its location by the sea which brings saline notes to the barrels for the maturation of the whisky. In addition, the slow distillation in large pear-shaped stills enriches the fruity character of Single Malts.
Since 1963, the distillery had specialized in unpeated malt. In 1997, Master Blender Ian MacMillan brought peat back into the limelight to the delight of peat whisky lovers.
This Single Malt was distilled in 2013 and aged for 7 years in Rechar Hogshead (reconstituted and re-burnt cask).
Bottled raw from the cask and in its natural colour.
Aromatic profile: powerful, peaty with pastry and fruity aromas.
