Two born rugbymen
Cambérabéro, a singing name that made the glory of the two brothers Guy and Lilian. As children, they were immersed in a family from the Landes region in France where rugby was omnipresent. Both growing up know their first selection in the Basque Coast and people then begin to talk about these two little "elves" of 1.69 m and 65 kg!
In 1967, they greatly contributed to the victory against Australia by scoring all the points, and they gave the 1st Grand Slam for the French team in 1968 by winning all the matches of the Five Nations Tournament. Their common career only spanned 4 years and 9 matches, but that was enough for them to become legends of French rugby.
Two generations
The story does not end there since the baton was taken in the 80s and 90s by Didier and Gilles, sons of Guy, who were seen on all the championship grounds in France. Didier made a mark on his time by remaining the best points scorer in a match during the 1987 World Cup, or by being a main player in the try of the century at Twickenham, which the English still talk about.
Clothing between tradition and avant-garde
Beautiful and definitely alive, the name continues to resonate in the world of rugby through the new generations but also through the creation of a clothing brand of which the Cambérabéro are directly at the origin. In 1991, Guy Cambérabéro graciously lends his name to an Ardèche company, the Cambérabéro brand has just been born! It was in 2000, after several years of exploitation by licence, that the Cambérabéro family decided to manage its brand directly.
Between avant-garde, tradition and sport, Cambérabéro created its first Sport and Heritage lines in 2016. In 2018, the brand gave birth to "Cambé", a new brand dedicated to the field of sport and sold exclusively in Rugby clubs.
