These barrels were selected during the Caroni Ceremony on April 12, 2019. Once chosen, the blend was transferred to stainless steel containers, where the aging stopped definitively, allowing all the characteristics of the wine to be preserved intact.
This bottling made it possible to create a total of 630 bottles, distributed all over the world.

Founded in 1918 in the heart of Trinidad and Tobago, the Caroni distillery has long been a flagship of local rum production. With its own sugar mill and supply of molasses, it developed an instantly recognizable style: dense, powerful rums with hints of molasses, spices, and sometimes tar or rubber, earning it a reputation as an inimitable “heavy rum.”
The distillery closed its doors in 2002, leaving behind limited stocks of barrels. These barrels, bought up and bottled in small quantities, have now become collector's items sought after by enthusiasts and aficionados around the world. Caroni is no more, but its legacy lives on through these rare bottles, where each sip tells a part of the history of Trinidad and Tobago and Caribbean rum.
