“Gascon Sun” Cocktail

30 ml L’Encantada Armagnac (choose your favourite from the set)
15 ml orange liqueur such as Cointreau or similar
10 ml light honey syrup
2 dashes of bitters (orange or angostura)
Orange or citrus peel for garnish
Some ice

Method: in an old-fashioned glass, pour Armagnac, orange liqueur, honey syrup, bitters. Add ice, stir gently. Garnish with a twist of orange to release essential oils.

Nose: rich and profound, with aromas of dried fruits (plums, apricots), oak, vanilla, caramel, subtle licorice and gentle spice.

Palate: full, well-structured; oak shows up but doesn’t dominate; fruity layers, hints of cocoa, light tobacco and even a touch of leather send complexity.

Finish: long and lingering; balance between woody bitterness and residual sweetness; recalls of candied fruits, spices; warm and satisfying.
