SEE YOU NEXT YEAR
Black Friday offers have ended.
We will meet again next year from November 26, 2021 for new Black Friday promotions.
Origin and meaning of Black Friday
For more than 50 years, in the United States, Black Friday is the last Friday of November, the day after "Thanksgiving". American businesses traditionally offer discounted deals because people are usually on extended weekends from Thursday to Sunday and can shop on this special Friday.
Taking place at the end of November, Black Friday is considered the kick-off of Christmas shopping.
The name of Black Friday comes from the fact that the accounts of American traders are said "in the red" when they are negative and "in the black" when they are positive. Black Friday is the day when traders' accounts are positive.
In France, it is said of an account that is in the positive that it is "in the green" so Black Friday could be the "Green Friday"!
