This whiskey is a tribute to Ger and Denis MacCarthy, founders of the West Cork distillery and former sailors on the trawlers that used to set sail from West Cork.
The bottle's distinctive design is inspired by the glass fishing floats of that era. It contains a whiskey aged in first-fill Bourbon casks, then matured in Bodegas Baron Sherry Casks.

The WCD distillery stand out by its equipement of fermentation designed and made by the WCD team. The use traditional stills during the spirits production. They also use quality materials like their barley, cereals cultivated in Ireland and untreates spring water. The purpose of the distillery is to offer high quality whiskies.
