Blair Athol 8 Years Old 2013 INK3 S.V. 70cl 46°
This edition of the 8-year-old Blair Athol is part of our INK #3 series selected by our experts and Signatory Vintage exclusively at Le Comptoir Irlandais.
The Blair Athol Distillery was established in 1798 in the Highlands as Aldour Distlillery, in reference to the river flowing nearby. Its production is primarily intended for the blending of the Bell's blend, which is very popular in the UK & South Africa. It has only one official bottling to its credit (12 years Flora & Fauna) and a few versions offered by independent bottlers including this beautiful bottling for the Irish counter!
This Single Malt was distilled in 2013 and aged for 8 years in Rechar Hogshead (reconstituted & re-burnt cask).
Aromatic profile: powerful, malty, on citrus, typical of Highland whiskeys.
Non chill-filtered, without colouring.
INK #1 and #2 bring together exceptional Single Malts. Selected by our experts with Signatory Vintage, this range draws its essence in the art of distillation with rare and impressive distillates highlighted by perfectly realized maturations. A complex alchemy of whisky, wood and time, like the unexpected and extraordinary mixtures of colour inks...
