Staoisha 7 Years Old 2014 INK4 S.V. 70cl 56.7°
This edition of this Staoisha 7 years old is part of our INK#4 series selected by our experts and Signatory Vintage exclusively at Le Comptoir Irlandais.
Founded in 1881, the Bunnahabhain distillery has a unique style stemming from a long heritage. His philosophy is to offer the most natural whisky possible, produced and aged on the island of Islay. Its inimitable style is explained by its location by the sea, which brings saline notes to the barrels for the maturation of the whisky.
In addition, the slow distillation in large pear-shaped stills enriches the fruity character of the Single Malts. Since 1963, the distillery had specialized in unpeated malt. In 1997, Master Blender Ian MacMillan put peat back in the spotlight, to the delight of peated whisky lovers.
This bottling was distilled in 2014, aged 7 years in Dechar/Rechar Hogshead barrels (reconstituted burnt barrel). Cask strength, non chill-filtered, natural colour.
