Dalva Porto 10 ans Old Tawny 75cl 20°

Country : Portugal / Reference: : 26023

Dalva Porto 10 Years Old Tawny is a port aged in oak casks for a decade, giving it the complexity and smoothness typical of well-matured Tawnies.

This small-barrel aging allows the aromas to concentrate and the flavors to meld harmoniously, giving the wine aromatic richness and a silky texture.

This port is distinguished by its mature character, with warm nuances resulting from prolonged contact with wood. It perfectly embodies the style of aged Tawnies, where fresh fruit gives way to more evolved notes, combined with impressions of dried fruit and caramel.

Dalva 10 Years Old Tawny is often enjoyed as a digestif or with desserts, but can also be savored on its own to enjoy its depth. It's an excellent choice for port lovers looking for a well-balanced, smooth and elegant wine with traditional Portuguese craftsmanship.

Ports are mutated Portuguese wines obtained by adding distilled grape alcohol, which stops fermentation and “fortifies” the wine.
Dalva Port, from Da Silva, is a prestigious brand from Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, an emblematic region for the ageing of port wines.
Founded in 1862, Dalva is renowned for its elegant, well-balanced port wines, focusing particularly on high-quality Tawny, White and vintage (Colheitas and Vintage) wines. Dalva's Tawny wines are barrel-aged and develop aromas of dried fruit, caramel and vanilla, while their White wines are often fruitier and more floral, with 10, 20, 30 and even 40-year versions available for lovers of rarity.
Colheitas, made from grapes from a single harvest, are aged in casks to offer complex, refined notes that evolve over the years. Dalva has also innovated with “Golden White” ports and other special editions that surprise with their originality.

They are aged in Vila Nova de Gaia (Douro Valley) in cellars where the mild, humid Atlantic climate helps develop subtle, rich flavors. The Douro Valley, in northern Portugal, is a historic, mountainous wine-growing region, famous for its terraced vineyards that produce port and other renowned wines.
