In 1833, the distillery was one of the 3 distilleries to receive royal approval on the order of William IV of the United Kingdom and then of Queen Victoria in 1838. The malts of the distillery are renowned for their sweet and herbaceous flavours, the result of a 72-hour fermentation.

This Single Malt was distilled in 2009 then aged for 13 years in first fill Bourbon barrels. It is a fresh, fruity, herbaceous, gourmet and round whisky. Reduced at 46°, non chill-filtered, natural colour.
